Heidi grew up in Olympia and played volleyball for Capital High School and local clubs. She went on to play volleyball at Lewis-Clark State and Whitworth College, where she received her B.A. in communications. She received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Rhode Island, where she continued to play rec and beach volleyball. She has worked as a physical therapist since 2001 and currently co-owns Steamboat Physical Therapy with her husband. She has been coaching club since 2014 and believes in growth mind set, fundamentals and game-like practice. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors with her three children, and running.
Lisa was a setter at Pacific University before continuing to play both sand and grass outdoor doubles. Lisa has continued as a competitive athlete, playing on a United States Tennis Association women’s team advancing to regional championship play. Her recent return to coaching volleyball was inspired by her daughter. This is her second season as an assistant coach for a U12 team. Lisa earned her B.A. from the University of Oregon in Political Science and International Studies. Lisa also received an MBA from the University of Washington. She currently is a contributing writer to ThurstonTalk and serves as a Board of Trustee to NOVA School. Lisa and her husband Tom have two children.
