Todd grew up here locally in the South Puget Sound area and was a multi-sport athlete growing up. He started playing volleyball right after high school and has played competitively for more than 20 years.
Todd has coached club volleyball for 11 years and has had great success. Some of his success includes 3 trips to the Girl’s Junior National Championship’s, 2 Power League Championships,3 PSR Regional Championship’s and 2 Emerald City Classic Championship’s. His 15 Gold team also earned a bid in the USA division for National’s at the Lone Star Classic in 2017.
Pam graduated from Lakewood High School in Southern California playing four years of varsity volleyball. She earned a NCAA Division I scholarship to the University of California at Riverside. At UCR, Pam served as captain for two years and earned multiple NCAA all-tournament teams. As a junior, Pam received the NCAA Leadership award.
Pam has been involved in elite club volleyball since middle school. In addition to seven years of coaching experience, she trained with coaches Butch May and Lee Maes while playing with Ichiban VBC out of Long Beach, California. Pam continues to actively play on both the local and national level. She has played in six USAV National Tournaments and is looking forward to her seventh this coming May.
Pam received her B.A. from UCR and went on to earn her J.D. from Gonzaga University. A licensed attorney, Pam serves as the Executive for the Thurston County Superior Court System. Pam is looking forward to her second season with Oly Reign!
Hanna attended High School in the Olympia area, lettering all four years in volleyball (libero) and two years in Fast pitch (outfielder). She graduated with honors from Tumwater High School in 2013. Hanna received her letter of intent to play volleyball at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, but did not end up playing.
Hanna attended college on an academic and Benedictine scholarship at Saint Martin’s University and completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in biology in December 2016. She is currently furthering her education at California State University, Fresno studying Research Data Analysis in their Masters of General/Experimental Psychology program. She is expected to graduate in May of 2019.
Hanna started coaching club volleyball as an assistant with her sister, Halee Karnofski, in 2013 until attending school last year in California (2017). She is excited to return to coaching at Oly Reign, where she will continue to share her love of the game with the younger generation, specifically, her love of defense and passing. Hanna believes defense wins game! Volleyball has given Hanna a wonderful community to continue playing as an adult.
Megan graduated from Timberline High School in 2008, where she lettered her freshman year as a multi-sport athlete playing both volleyball (setter/libero) and softball (3rd base). Megan’s most proud volleyball honors are: first team all-league, Olympia’s all-area team, and a member of the All-State team. Club volleyball taught her the fundamentals and provided competitive experiences that pushed her to become a better athlete and person.
Megan attended Washington State University where she received her B.A. in Education with an Endorsement in Middle Level Mathematics. She currently teaches 8th grade math at Komachin Middle School and is in her 3rd year as Assistant Volleyball Coach at Timberline High School.
This will be Megan’s 2nd club coaching season as she was our 2016-17 Oly Reign 15 Blue team Head Coach. She is very excited to continue locally with Oly Reign!
Brandon has been playing volleyball as far back as he can remember. He was a multisport athlete in high school and made varsity all 3 years as a starting middle blocker (in Chicago, where they actually have men’s volleyball). He was offered scholarships to play volleyball in college, but turned them down in favor of a full-ride baseball scholarship.
A few years ago, after a long break from volleyball, Brandon got back involved in coaching volleyball with some of the smaller school districts in the Olympia area. Brandon teaches Physical and Life Science at Chinook Middle School and loves working with young people. He is excited to enter his 2nd season coaching for a great club and a fantastic group of athletes!
Christie graduated from Olympia High School earning all-state and all-league honors for volleyball. She went on to receive a full ride scholarship to play Division I volleyball at University of Texas at El Paso.
At UTEP, she started four years as an outside hitter and opposite. Christie has been coaching for 12 years in both club and at the high school level. Most recently, she was the Volunteer Varsity Assistant Coach at Olympia High School for six years.
This is Christie's 3rd year coaching with Oly Reign, the past two years coaching 16 Gold and 15 Blue. Christie teaches English Language Arts at Salish Middle School and is very dedicated to investing in the youth in our community. She is thrilled to be a part of Oly Reign Volleyball Club!
Micah’s playing experience includes: four years on Pacific Lutheran University’s men’s club volleyball team, competing on men’s regional team (played in national tournament five times), 1st place at men’s National Tournament (2001), and voted All-tournament team at National Tournament (2001).
His coaching experience includes: 16 years of high school volleyball (three years Assistant, 13 years Head Coach at North Thurston High School), three time Coach of the Year, 12 years of post-season play as Head Coach, and 2nd place in 3A State Tournament (2012). Micah has coached club volleyball for the past four years. Each year his teams have finished top 3 in the region, and qualified for Nationals in 2016.
Micah earned a B.S from PLU and a Master’s from Central Washington University. He has been a middle school P.E. teacher for 21 years. Micah, and his wife of 22 years, have 3 kids.
Courtney was born and raised in Olympia and played volleyball for Olympia High School and local club teams throughout her volleyball career. During her early years of college, she volunteer coached for the Olympia High School Varsity team.
She enjoys remaining involved in the volleyball community, playing on rec teams and in outdoor tournaments during the summer. Courtney graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and is a Dental Hygienist at an office in Olympia. This is Courtney’s 2nd season coaching with Oly Reign.
Mieka attended North Thurston High School, lettering all four years. She then played at Saint Martin’s University. In 2002, Mieka started assisting at North Thurston with Head Coach, Micah McBride.
In 2005, she became an Assistant Coach at Saint Martin’s. In 2008, she returned to North Thurston, to coach again as a volunteer. Throughout her time coaching at both the high school and collegiate levels, she also coached 6 seasons of club volleyball. She is very excited for another season of teaching and mentoring the young athletes in our area.
Her goal is to show them that through hard work, passion, and perseverance they can accomplish whatever they put their mind to.
Kelsey graduated from Tumwater High School, where she was a multi-sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball and softball year-round.
Kelsey went on to play volleyball for Linfield College, where she earned her B.S. in Exercise Science, with minors in Biology and Psychology. Kelsey started all four years for the Linfield volleyball team and was team captain her senior year. While at Linfield, Kelsey helped with multiple volleyball clinics, was a referee for intramural volleyball, and also helped build an after-school health and fitness program for kids in the surrounding elementary schools.
Kelsey later earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University and is currently a licensed physical therapist working for Providence Medical Group.
She continues to play volleyball on a regular basis in an adult league, as well as indoor and grass tournaments. She is very involved in the community and often volunteers for health fairs and wellness screens in the area. This will be her 4th year coaching club volleyball.
Nathan was born and raised in the Olympia area. He has been playing volleyball competitively for more than eight years.
He is very excited to be coaching with a great group of coaches/friends in a sport that has become one of his biggest passions. This will be his 3rd year coaching with Oly Reign.
Sadie graduated from Olympia High School in 2012 as a multi-sport student-athlete. She played volleyball, fast pitch and track. She received all-league honors in both volleyball and track. Her volleyball team at Olympia High School won the State Championships in 2011.
In her 5 years of playing club volleyball, Sadie’s teams appeared the Junior Olympics and won the Far Western National Qualifier. She went on to play collegiate volleyball at Eastern University where her team made the NCAA Tournament finishing in the Sweet 16. Her remaining time at Eastern University, Sadie played soccer (mid-field/forward) and her team appeared in the NCAA Tournament. She transferred to Liberty University to complete her B.S. in Business Administration and Digital Analytics.
She currently works as a Digital Media Analyst and focuses her free time on her rambunctious toddler. This is Sadie’s 2nd year coaching at the club level.
Matt is originally from Spokane, WA and relocated to Olympia in 2016. He is a CTE teacher at South Sound High School, within NTPS.
Growing up in an area where men's volleyball is non-existent, he began playing for co-ed city and school rec leagues/clubs in high school, college, and now in Olympia.
He has coached for North Thurston High School for 2 years. Matt is looking forward to being a part of the Oly Reign family.
Haley was born and raised in Olympia and graduated from North Thurston High School. She played for North Thurston and local club teams. While playing for North Thurston she went to state twice and received all-league honors.
Haley is currently attending South Puget Sound Community College to get her Associates Degree in Applied Science to become a dental assistant. She continues to stay active in the volleyball community by volunteering for North Thurston’s volleyball program and playing on a rec league team.
Jordan graduated from Centralia High School in 2008, where she lettered in both volleyball and tennis. She went on to play 3 years at Linfield where she received a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology.
After two years of service in AmeriCorps, she went on to get her M.Ed. in Counseling. She is currently a school counselor at Tumwater High School and in her fourth season coaching JV volleyball at THS. This will be her 3rd season of coaching U12 club volleyball.
