Nikki Holien

Director

Hi! I'm Nikki Holien, and I'm honored to serve as the new Club Director for Oly Reign Volleyball Club.

Volleyball has been one of the greatest gifts in my life. It has shaped who I am, introduced me to lifelong friends and mentors, and given me opportunities I never imagined possible. Now, after 18 years of coaching and eight seasons with Oly Reign, I have the privilege of helping create those same opportunities for the next generation of athletes.

Growing up in Eastern Washington, I was a three-sport athlete, competing in volleyball, softball, and dance/drill while earning 11 varsity letters at Colville High School. I was fortunate to be a 2x First Team All-GNL selection, set my school's career kill record with 808 kills in 3 seasons, play 4 years of club volleyball for VIP Juniors and continue my playing career at North Idaho College before transferring to Whitworth University, where I competed as a six-rotation outside hitter, team captain, and conference honoree.

My coaching journey began in 2008 with VIP Juniors in Spokane, WA before taking me to Puyallup Juniors, and eventually Oly Reign—where I immediately felt at home. What started as coaching teams has grown into leading a club that I care deeply about, and I couldn't be more excited about where we're headed.

My coaching philosophy is simple: athletes are people first and players second. I believe our responsibility as coaches goes far beyond teaching volleyball skills. We have the opportunity to build confidence, resilience, leadership, and a love for the game that lasts long after an athlete's playing days are over. I also believe in teaching the "why" behind the game. When athletes understand not just how to perform a skill, but when and why to use it, they become smarter, more confident competitors.

What I love most about Oly Reign is the people. We have built a club culture centered around relationships, development, and excellence. I'm incredibly proud of our coaching staff and the support system we've created through mental performance training, speed and agility development, and sports nutrition. Watching our athletes grow as players, teammates, and young adults is the most rewarding part of what I do.

When I'm not in the gym, you'll usually find me in my flower garden, with my animals, baking or cooking something for family and friends, cheering on my 3 stepkids, Kadie, Colin & Kylee or spending quality time with my husband, Cory, and our awesome 5 year old son, Barrett. Outside of volleyball, I work as a Project Manager and Change Management Practitioner, where I enjoy helping teams solve problems and create meaningful change.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to lead Oly Reign and look forward to continuing to build a club where every athlete feels challenged, supported, and inspired to become the very best version of themselves—both on and off the court. GO REIGN!
