NIKKI Holien
Co-CoachCoach Nikki enters her eighth season with Oly Reign and brings 18 years of coaching experience to the court. She played volleyball at Colville High School before continuing her collegiate career at North Idaho College before transferring to Whitworth University.
Nikki began coaching in 2008, spending five seasons coaching in the Evergreen Region and another five with Puyallup Juniors before finding her home at Oly Reign. She also spent two seasons on the Capital High School coaching staff and now serves as Director of Oly Reign Volleyball Club.
Her coaching philosophy starts with a simple belief: athletes are people first and players second. Nikki takes a holistic approach to development, teaching athletes not only how to perform a skill, but when and why to use it. Having benefited from incredible coaches throughout her own career, she sees coaching as an opportunity to pay that experience forward. She believes that when athletes are coached in a fundamentally sound way, the wins take care of themselves.
When asked what she loves most about Oly Reign, Nikki shared:
"I love the atmosphere we've created! I'm incredibly fortunate to work alongside coaches who believe in our program and our players. Our holistic approach—combining volleyball with speed and agility, mental performance, and nutrition—has created an amazing support system for our athletes both on and off the court."
Outside of volleyball, Nikki loves gardening, baking, and spending time with her husband, Cory, and their son, Barrett.
Todd Oestreich
Co- CoachCoach Todd brings 13 years of coaching experience and more than 25 years of competitive volleyball playing experience to the court. More importantly, Todd has a special place in Oly Reign's history as the club's founding Director, helping establish the program and build the foundation for what Oly Reign is today.
Todd has coached club volleyball for more than a decade, including five seasons with Oly Reign. Throughout his coaching career, his teams have made five appearances at USAV Nationals, earned three Regional Championships, and consistently competed in the highest division of USAV Power League.
His coaching philosophy is simple: develop great players, build even better people, and create opportunities through hard work, accountability, and a love for the game.
When asked what he loves most about Oly Reign, Todd shared:
"I love that Oly Reign gives kids an opportunity to become not just great players, but great people. We support our athletes through all facets of the game with strength, mental performance, nutrition, and skills training. Not only do we challenge our players to be better, but we challenge ourselves to be better so we can provide the best experience for athletes and their families."
Outside of volleyball, Todd enjoys golfing, watching his daughter compete, and tackling home improvement projects around the house.
Devyn Oestreich
Assistant CoachWe are excited to welcome Coach Devyn Oestreich to the Oly Reign coaching staff for her first season coaching with ORVBC! While this is Devyn's first year coaching with the Reign, her connection to our club runs deep. Devyn was a member of the very first Oly Reign volleyball team and spent the majority of her club volleyball career proudly representing the Reign. Now, she's bringing her experience and passion for the game full circle, helping develop the next generation of Oly Reign athletes!
Devyn brings four years of coaching experience, an impressive playing career spanning high school, collegiate, and international volleyball, and a passion for helping athletes develop and achieve their goals both on and off the court.
Devyn played volleyball at Capital High School, where she helped her team earn first-, second-, and third-place finishes at the state tournament. She continued her playing career at Western Washington University, where she earned prestigious honors, including GNAC Player of the Year and All-American recognition. Her volleyball journey has also taken her internationally, giving her the opportunity to experience the game beyond the United States and broaden her perspective on the sport.
Over the past four years, Devyn has gained valuable coaching experience, including coaching U14 club volleyball with another organization, serving as an assistant coach for a U15 All-Stars team, and coaching individual, elite, and team camps at Western Washington University. Her experience working with athletes at various skill levels has strengthened her passion for teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and helping players reach their full potential.
In addition to serving as our U13 Gold Assistant Coach, Devyn is also an Oly Reign Skills Coach and Recruiting Advisor. Through skills training, she helps athletes refine their technique, strengthen their fundamentals, and elevate their game. In her recruiting role, she supports athletes as they navigate opportunities to continue their volleyball careers at the collegiate level, offering valuable insight from her own experiences as a successful college athlete.
Devyn's coaching philosophy focuses on developing athletes both on and off the court. She strives to create a positive, supportive, and competitive environment where players feel empowered to take risks, learn from mistakes, and embrace challenges. She emphasizes strong fundamentals, teamwork, communication, accountability, and a growth mindset while encouraging athletes to become confident competitors and supportive teammates.
What Devyn loves most about Oly Reign is the club's commitment to developing the whole athlete. She appreciates the emphasis on mental well-being, confidence, and personal growth alongside athletic performance, and values being part of a community where athletes are supported, challenged, and encouraged to be themselves.
Outside of volleyball, Devyn enjoys going on walks, playing with her dogs, spending time with family, watching sunsets over the water, and relaxing with a good book in the sunshine.
