Madison Hurley
Assistant CoachMadison Hurley is entering her first season as a coach with Oly Reign Volleyball Club and is excited to give back to the program that played such an important role in her own volleyball journey. As a former Oly Reign athlete, Madison understands firsthand the positive impact that strong coaching, supportive teammates, and a player-first environment can have on an athlete's development.
Madison played competitive volleyball for seven years, including three seasons with Oly Reign VBC. She competed at Tumwater High School, where she played junior varsity as a freshman and varsity throughout her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. During her high school career, her team qualified for the state tournament each year, giving her valuable experience competing at a high level.
Her coaching journey began while she was still a student at Tumwater High School, assisting with summer volleyball camps. Working alongside experienced coaches helped her develop a strong coaching foundation and reinforced her passion for mentoring young athletes.
Madison's coaching philosophy is centered on building trust and meaningful relationships with her athletes. She believes that when players know their coach genuinely cares about them, they become more confident, coachable, and willing to grow. Her favorite reminder is, "There's no better time than now." She encourages athletes to embrace challenges, trust the process, and make the most of every opportunity.
What Madison loves most about Oly Reign is the unwavering sense of community. She believes every athlete deserves to know they are never alone and that there will always be people in their corner supporting, encouraging, and believing in them both on and off the court.
Outside of volleyball, Madison enjoys staying active at the gym, spending time outdoors, camping, listening to country music, and making memories with friends and family.
